Habits. Fear. Timing.

Rebecca Thackray

Rebecca thinks many habits are a response to fear. Fear of being unpopular, or not good enough. And talking to people beats fear.

“Habits, good and bad, that we take on as children will carry over to the rest of our lives. Fear can be overcome by sharing. You find out that other people have fears too, often the same ones as you. Timing is important: luck hides in chance meetings and opportunities, and speaking at the right time, in the right way, to the right person.”
